3dedrats school holiday workshops added

Here at the Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre we have been really busy.   The most exciting news is that due to the fantastic response to our Game Design workshops from parents and teachers we  have added a LEVEL UP: Game Design Boot Camp school holiday workshop event to our calendar. Kids aged 8-16 are able join us for a really fun day designing games.  Register now for this fantastic opportunity to develop kids critical thinking, story writing and creative skills.

We’re launching the 3dedrats festival during the holidays with the opening of the WHEN2050 exhibition on the 6^th of October at Sydney College of the Arts. Interact with innovative 3D artworks, walk or fly through the students’ virtual world and experience intricate architectural designs in full 3D.  This free exhibition of student created work is not to be missed!  You can also book in for a school excursion or drop in one Saturday to a public workshop to learn how to use these new technologies yourself.

We are now able to announce that ABC TVs Good Game presenter GOOSE and the robot D.A.R.R.E.N will be at our GAME ON! festival.  Hear them talk and maybe you’ll be interviewed by Goose and get your face on telly.

Also we have been at the Sydney Region Computer Coordinator days showcasing students works and sharing with teachers.  This video is one of my favourites at the moment when it comes to engaging students in discussing learning, technology and the future.
