Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre is conducting a series of Game Design Boot Camps designed to help your students learn to design high quality 5 star video games. The Game Design industry employs people from a wide variety of fields including technicians, designers, artists, journalist, historians, actors and many more.

Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre has extensive experience in teaching students the principles of good game design and this workshop will allow your students to become fully immersed in designing games using a variety of software including SploderKodu and mobile devices.

During the boot camp, students will learn skills they can transfer to all subjects and into the world of work including: problem solving, writing, storycraft, logical, critical and creative thinking, humour, imagination, world building and design.

This is a special one day only School Holiday workshop available for individual students ages 8-16 who would like to learn about Game Design. This workshop day will be held at the Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre, Macquarie University from 9am-3pm on Thursday the 29th of September 2011. The cost will be $20 each, and participants are expected to bring their own morning tea and lunch. Further details about the venue will be emailed to parents upon registration.
