LEVEL UP: game design boot camp at Macquarie University Sydney
Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre is hosting a series of game design boot camps designed to help you design amazing 5star games. The Game Design industry makes almost 10x the box office takings of the film industry. . The game industry employs people from a wide variety of fields including technicians, designers, artists, journalist, historians, actors and many more.
MacICT has extensive experience in teaching students the principals of good game design and this workshop will allow your students to become fully immersed in designing games using a variety of software including Sploder, Kodu and mobile devices. This is a good fun, challenging workshop for kids of any age.
During the boot camp students will learn skills they will transfer to all subjects and take with them into the world of work including: problem solving, writing, storycraft, logical, critical and creative thinking, humour, imagination world building and design.
